What if,
just once,
we answer that question
with the truth?
What happens
when someone says,
“I’m having a terrible day?”
What if
we show them
l o v e
instead of
straying away?
I’m good.
I’m fine.
I’m alright.
[I’m lying.]
Maybe they don’t need much.
Maybe all they need
is someone to listen,
to be there,
to wrap them in their arms,
to let them know
that it does get better.
Not every day is “good”.
So the next time you ask,
“How are you?”
Be open to,
“Terrible.”
“I’m struggling.”
“It’s been a hard week.”
Show them love.
You are loved. ❤
